Description Michail Vourlakos 2018-03-27 21:25:30 UTC
In greek there are some characters that need a combination of two or three keys to be pressed in order to be shown such as in the word:

καλημέρα , the letter 'ά'

for such letter to be shown the user must press first the key ';' next to L key in the keyboard and afterwards the greek letter 'α'

such characters are written only just as 'α' under wayland.

this problem occurs only on native wayland applications such as kwrite and plasma editboxes. For apps that use XWayland, e.g. libreoffice and firefox the issue doesnt appear.

after updating to plasma 5.12.4 and kde frameworks 5.44 the behavior is a bit different, pressing the letter ';' when using Greek keyboard layout it always shows krunner... I searched through Global Shortcuts but couldnt find any such association
