G'MIC Does not apply changes to selected layer after clicking apply, wait for progress bar to complete and then OK

Can't reproduce this, can you provide every step in detail and the filters used?

I used (randomly) colors/sepia, artistic/warhol and black & white/engrave, on both appimage and git-master alpha, it applies normal to selected layer.

I opened image in Krita.
Then Filter-G'Mic-Steroscopic3d-3d Conversion. ( The Gmic preview shows the
changes)
Click apply, progress bar bounces up and down while the Mb counter counts
up . Then GMic shuts down and am back at Krita interface with the image
unchanged.

Array works
Artistic does Not Work
Some Colors work
 some
Black and white works - Dithering
Some distortions don't work like drop water
A few others work.

Update:

I figured out what the problem was:

Configure Krita-G'mic file points to an older G'Mic on my PC and not to the
file in the bin folder.
Problem solved.
