This is only on opensuse? Does it also happen with the appimages?

I can not comment about other distros.

However the appimage works for me.

Who makes the opensuse RPM? It looks like they didn't package python right based off the stack trace. I would try to contact them if the appimage is ok.

This build seems to have been made from the unreleased tarball, not the final tarball.
Comment 5 Halla Rempt 2018-03-27 06:15:40 UTC
We really need to know more; but it does sound like a downstream problem at this point.

Crash on start - crash report

I have now installed Krita from the main repository and still have the same crash.

krita | package | 4.0.0-2.1 | x86_64 | (System Packages)
Comment 7 Halla Rempt 2018-04-06 07:50:09 UTC
Well... It still seems like a distribution problem. The backtrace doesn't have any debug symbols, so it's a bit hard to see where exactly the problem is, but it seems to be exactly the same one as you posted earlier. I use opensuse Leap 42.3 for developing Krita and build against the system python and sip packages:

Name : python3-sip
Version : 4.19.7-17.2

Name : python3
Version : 3.4.6-11.1

Name : python3-qt5
Version : 5.10-98.5

Some more questions:

* Which version of opensuse is this?
* Have you also reported this to the opensuse people?
* What version of Krita is in the main repository?
* What version of python3, sip and python3-qt5 do you have?

* Which version of opensuse is this?

Tumbleweed

* Have you also reported this to the opensuse people?

No, how do I do so?

* What version of Krita is in the main repository?

4.0.0-2.1

* What version of python3, sip and python3-qt5 do you have?

# python3 --version 2.7.14

Python 3.4.3

python3-qt5 5.10-1.1 | x86_64 | openSUSE:Factory

python3-sip 4.19.7-1.1 | x86_64 | openSUSE:Factory
