Created attachment 111595 [details] a screenshot and the used image for the icon When adding a template using File --> Create Template From Image seems to have to issues according to generating/using an icon in the template dialog: - When using 'Preview' on template creation the image is indeed stored on the template location in the icon folder, but this icon will never show up in the template dialog. A restart of Krita doesn't help. - When using 'Custom' and browse a file from disc (with the exact same fileformat and dimensions of the generated icon while using 'preview', the 'Create Template'-dialog cannot load the picture and it says: 'Could not load picture' So at the moment it seems like it's impossible to add a custom icon/picture to a new template. Using Krita 4.0.0 on Win10-64. Btw: Great program Krita!! I love it! Next to so many great and unique features, also already saw a lot of Photoshop features improved here! Thanks
I must be doing something different from you, because both actions work for me. Could you make a screen recording, or make the steps even more explicit?
Created attachment 111707 [details] Screencapture
Just added a screencapture of the first situation. I would expect the icon being showed in the preview would be the icon of the template as well. But there is no icon. The icon is stored on disc, but doesn't show up in the user interface. The second situation has the same workflow, except I than use 'Custom' instead of 'Preview' in the dialog and browser for an image. But none of the image types or sizes gets loaded and the UI only says 'Could not load picture'. Even if I load the image created in the first situation above. (preview).

I supplied info months ago, but didn't know that I had to change the bug-status. Hereby!
I actually should have done that, I guess. I just lost track because I'm getting so many reports and replies to reports a day.
No worries. Keep up the great work!
I cannot reproduce this here either(taking the exact same steps as the attached video) Does this still happen in the 4.2.x series? Is there anything unique about your resource folder?
