It shouldn't be necessary for the end-user to modify the permission of an AppImage file to execute it. It's not an intuitive use case. AppImage being an ELF file. Quoting: " Desktop environments should ask the user whether to set the executable bit and then run the application when the user double-clicks on an ELF file that doesn't have the executable bit set. ... It should ask "do you want to mark this application as executable and launch it?". " More information: https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/issues/374
Please assign to something who can do something about this. As some food for thought, here is a proposal from the Nautilus team (which has not been implemented there yet afaik): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/uploads/4b3842b2ab064875c1605bc961fc1415/Captura_de_ecr%C3%A3_de_2018-05-16_12-32-44.png
Sorry, of course I meant "Please assign to someONE who can do something about this".
I just downloaded OpenTTD from appimagehub.com and double clicked on it and it asks if I want to execute it, I click Do Not Ask Again and Execute and it works. Igor/Probono can you please check on a recent version of Dolphin, thanks.
