I don't know if it's a bug or it's the expected behavior, since I read it was previously implemented in digikam. In any case, if it isn't a bug, it's a feature request :)

The XMP tab in the metadata explorer should also display face rectangles that have been saved to pictures. It would be useful when making sure that face tagging is being done correctly.

Right now it only shows a bunch of "Unavailable" fields (the only two which show something are the modify date and the regular tags).

Face region is well included in metadata and can be show in metadata viewer from right sidebar. Just turn off tag filter as it's indicated in this screenshot:

Ohhh, I had the filter on "photograph" instead of "No filter". Now I see it. Nevermind, it was my fault.

By the way, I can't see your screenshot, it gives me a 403 error on flickr (permissions).
