Currently, I am working on these and similar problems related to renaming, moving or copying of items. It requires however a larger changes of the IOJob class. Database operations may only be performed after a successful file operation. The rename may does not fail at the moment. But this is only realized in digiKam-6.0.0.

Fixed with #372763 and not reproducible with 6.2.0
