Description MarcP 2018-03-11 18:11:21 UTC
I have been unable to sync metadata (mainly tags) from one computer to another.

I have a digikam installation in a second computer, sharing the same picture folders (they're on a NAS), but storing the database locally.

Many pictures were edited in my main computer, mainly tagged/untagged and changed dates. Changes are effectively saved to picture files, as I verified by checking the metadata (in digikam and also external programs).

However, when I start the digikam in the second computer and I update and clean the database, tags are not updated, and old tags (that no longer exist) still remain in the "Tags" panel. The metadata viewer in digikam also shows that these tags no longer exist, but nevertheless they still appear in the main tag list.

I even forced a metadata sync (tools -> maintenance) from pictures to database, but changes are not synced either.

I use the last digikam 5.9 pre-release in both computers, the windows version in the main one, and the x64 appimage in the second one (running ubuntu).
