Let's say I have an activity called 'Research'
Let's say I have a Kate session called 'Research'

Wouldn't it be nice that if I open a .txt on my 'Research' activity, kate's Research session get's fired?

I don't know where it should be configured, some guru will probably know better than me.

I hope something like this happens someday :)

See  https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/issues/35 , at the moment it is not even clear how the future of this works. I don't see us spending time on this.
