Description MarcP 2018-03-07 02:38:08 UTC
Digikam (5.8.0 for windows) crashes when manually stopping a database sync (by clicking the "cancel this operation" button on the bottom right corner). I update the database from "Tools -> Maintenance -> Sync Metadata and Database -> From image metadata to database". I have been able to replicate this error several times, and it crashes consistently.

An error window with the following message appears:

"digikam.exe has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if solution is available."

I tried looking at DebugView, but no messages related to the crash appear.

This problem is already fixed. Please try with the digiKam-5.9.0 pre-release AppImage:

Not with the AppImage, the Windows bundles are there too.

Ok, I can confirm that with the latest windows bundle (digiKam-5.9.0-20180304T171700-Win64.exe) this does not happen anymore.

Thanks!
