On my laptop appears a screen rotation icon in system tray under Wayland. Currently it's impossible to remove it if "always show all entries" is checked in system tray settings. See related topic in kde forum. https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=289&t=151272&p=395436#p395436 Give us a way to remove this icon please. Thanks.
Show all entries means show all entries, don't use it if you don't want all entries to show.
it shows all entries checked in system tray settings. There is no way to uncheck this useless rotation icon.
Kai is right. If you don't want to see all items, then don't use the "Show all items" setting. "Show all items except for the following things that I don't want to see" is a concept that you can easily create for yourself by just rurning on the things that you specifically want to see.
I can uncheck (and consequently disable/hide) clipboard, device notifier, notifications, network, etc in system tray settings. Why is there no way to do the same with this useless screen rotation icon?
I see now: you want it to show up in the "Extra Items" section on the general tab, in which case it can be not hidden, but permanently removed. That seems reasonable to me. Changing title to reflect request.
Extra Items only shows Applets, this isn't an Applet. This cannot be solved like that. I don't understand the problem though. It should appear under Entries.
Effectively fixed (or at least no longer relevant) in the Plasma 5.18 UI redesign.
