Description David Faure 2018-03-05 09:01:14 UTC
If I'm in a certain room when a message comes in, why does the room name become bold?

Similarly, If someone speaks in another room and I switch to that room, shouldn't that room lose the bold (unread messages) status?

Right now it looks like only Key_Esc clears that (thanks for having implemented that at least!)
Comment 1 Laurent Montel 2018-03-05 09:12:27 UTC
Yep it's in my todo list :)
Comment 2 David Faure 2018-03-05 10:11:55 UTC
Hmm, after an update and a restart, Key_Esc no longer works. Regression?
Comment 3 David Faure 2018-03-05 11:44:40 UTC
Weird, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't been able to find out why yet.
Comment 4 Laurent Montel 2018-03-05 13:00:18 UTC
Indeed we need focus in lineedit . It's a regression yep
Comment 5 Laurent Montel 2018-03-06 05:43:29 UTC
Escape feature regression fixed in last version

Can confirm, "mark messages read automatically" feature would be nice.
Comment 7 David Faure 2020-11-29 10:05:00 UTC
At this point I got used to pressing Esc and I like having control over when to mark messages as unread :-)
Comment 8 atman.sense 2020-11-29 15:32:31 UTC
Yes, after I got used to it I find it not that bad.

Another related question:
I have a room with automated (not that important) messages and I switched the "hide unread status" tick box on. But it seemingly has no effect?
