Rooms with unread messages are shown with bold text. At least on my system, I find that very hard to distinguish from normal text. How about using a different color (e.g. blue, let's say hyperlink color from the palette) for rooms with unread messages, like RC+ does? Also the number of messages that ping me shows like (2) in red on the right, but too much on the right, it's under the scrollbar, that doesn't look very good...
Or using a different icon, that would work too. The "green" led on the current room icon attracts my attention, maybe it would be a good indicator of unread messages, while the icon for a room WITHOUT unread messages could be just the "#" sign without a green led?
