Steps to reproduce:
1. Register your email address on a mailing list server running Sympa. (This is not specific to Sympa; I've seen it happen on other servers.)
2. Forget your password.
3. Click on the "Lost password?" link.
4. Enter your email address and hit the "Request new password" button.
5. When the email arrives, click on the link in it.
The result is a web page saying:

Sorry, this operation can't be performed
A validation link was sent to you on 05 Mar 2018 at 01:19:09. (the validation link was requested from host <ipaddr>)
reason
The validation link has already been validated from host <ipaddr> .If you did not perform this validation, please report this confidentiality issue to your mail services administrator.

I then tried a different step:
5. Copy the URL and paste it into the Konqueror URL bar.
This resulted in the same error in the web page and the following lines in the web log:

This proves that the bug is not in Kmail.

Next I tried:
5. Copy the URL and paste it into the Chromium URL bar.
This resulted in the expected behavior, a form where I entered a new password. The log lines are:
