Description Michail Vourlakos 2018-03-03 16:53:06 UTC
In wayland, Alt+Tab closes the entire environment forcefully and shows the sddm login screen.

I suppose kwin_wayland compositor breaks and that makes the environment to lose everything.

We need a backtrace, but I assume it's the very common crash in the radeon driver caused from somewhere in QtQuick. Nothing we could do, OpenGL drivers shouldn't crash.

I could provide but I dont know how to catch it for kwin_wayland! :) any ideas?

I have an Optimus laptop that uses i915+nouveau :)

1.VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Skylake Integrated Graphics
2.NVIDIA Corporation GM107M

very happy to have manage finally to make it work with wayland :).

I suppose it is the nouveau driver because I use an external monitor with it and I have disabled the laptop screen.

I dont use neither bumblebee or optimus things...

is there somewhere a guide or steps to achieve this?

one more info about this because I still dont know how to start plasma compositor from command line...

This is happening only if the user has enabled the Breeze Task Switcher, for all the rest task switchers this behaviour doesnt occur.
