It doesn't apply to all the files, but to many (most?) that I have - so probably applies to files created before or around 3.0 version. One of them: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6hzzuzj7ic1c168/Szkocja2017-3.kra?dl=0 (sorry, couldn't attach it as it is >4MB). Can't tell much more - any time I try to open any of "them" I get runtime VC++ error and Krita crashes.
Aw, it is just opening fine here. Now, there could be two causes to this, either... 1. It is a windows only crash. In that case someone else with a windws machine needs to check out what is happening. Or... 2. We have already fixed the bug, which might be because dmitry did fix a handful of crash bugs. To check if this is the case, you can try to get a nightly from here: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krita_Nightly_Windows_Build/ and then test with that.
I'll check on windows.
Nightlies are down. I created a new build: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vetc2tjmpgif3jy/krita-4.0-beta3.zip?dl=0 because of that. I can open your test file with it. However, NOTE: this file contains lots of text fields. Krita 3 and Krita 4 are not really compatible when it comes to text because of the conversion from ODT to SVG. If you want to continue working on your Krita 3 files in Krita 4 and they contain text, do keep a backup and do consider converting your vector layers to paint layers. Please check whether with this version of Krita you still get a crash; if not, we can close this bug.
The beta3 build opened the files without any problem, thanks :) The issue was not in text fields, since I had that problem with other files that had no text in them (I only chose this one, since it was the smallest I found around that failed to open). I remember the warnings though and I'm making backups of every file I convert to Krita4, thanks :)
Oh, good to hear that the crash is gone :-)
