right click your desktop, select "Add widgets..."
add "system load viewer" to your desktop
right click just added widget to open its settings
uncheck items under "show" and apply the changes
mouseover the widget: note that the tooltip is still showing items previously unchecked in settings window

System Load Viewer only shows "System load" as tooltip for me. Can you post a screenshot?

"swap monitor" and "cache monitor" are unchecked in settings but the tooltip shows these info anyway.

"System Load Viewer" is still available and affected on Plasma 5.20.1.

Irrelevant. "System Load Viewer" widget is no longer available on Plasma 5.22 beta.
