I'm running an up-to-date KDE neon user edition. Currently we have: Package: plasma-desktop Version: 4:5.12.2-0neon+16.04+xenial+build83 Recommends: (...) muon-notifier, muon-updater, (...) These two recommended packages are now transitional, having been replaced by plasma-discover-updater. plasma-desktop should recommend plasma-discover-updater.
I can confirm I'm seeing both muon-notifier and muon-updater recommended with plasma-desktop on Neon user, and that both muon packages are transitional. Plasma: 5.14.3 KDE Frameworks: 5.52.0 QT Version: 5.11.2 Side note: I'm new and wondering if it's recommended that users confirm a bug when they also notice the described behavior, or if it's best to wait for a maintainer?

Maybe the bugs team will be able to answer your question better but I don't think it's a good idea to confirm your own bugs
In the commit, I see you have replaced - discover | muon-discover, + discover However, I think you meant plasma-discover. discover itself is a totally unrelated package, and quite dead actually, with no commits in 4 years, and last significant activity 10 years ago.
fixed by a later commit thanks
