Description David 2018-02-10 19:58:04 UTC
If I try to change the volume of klicketry or mute it form plasma's volume control in the system tray, it still keeps the pop-up sounds at the default volume every time in plasma 5.11.4. In older plasma versions, the first time a pop-up with sound appears (first within each application launch), it makes a sound with the default volume, but further pop-ups follow the settings set from the volume control. The bug doesn't seem to affect other KDE games.

I honestly don't think this is a bug in Klickety but either a bug in plasma or a misconfiguration in your system, applications *never* care about if sound is muted or not, they always produce the sound and it's the responsability of the sound system to let it through or not, so i'm reassigning the bug to plasmashell in case there's something specific in plasma failing.

If you alter the "notifications" sound volume does that make a difference?
(open the full volume controls from the "settings" menu in the plasma applet, and it will be under notifications)

I don't think klickety is using notifications for sound, as far as I understand it uses openal

It doesn't make a difference if I change the notification volume settings.

Update: problem got somehow solved after the last general plasma and KDE software update.
