Description Pierre Hanser 2018-02-10 16:38:29 UTC
when i start importing in digikam, I have to choose a directory.
Up-today I've not been able to understand what directory digikam chooses as default. I think the default should be the current directory before importing, because usually my workflow is the following: create a new directory in main screen, then click on import.

Do you mean the album selection dialog within the import? The selected album is always the one from the last import. Should the selected album be the one from the current album in the digiKam view?

hello
if the directory is the one of the last import, I'm pretty sure it's buggy...
sorry.
for me it would be good because I sort my pictures by date and previous date would be often near current date... but it's not what I see. often the directory seems to be stucked at some old value.

But I would still prefer the selected album in main view.

Pierre,

Which dialog do you talk exactly ? Please take a screenshot of the problem, just to be sure...

Yes, a screenshot would be good. Because I can not find any problem with the last saved destination album in the import.

Pierre, perhaps you talk about import from remote storage tool ?

select directory dialog

very good example: I imported yesterday -> dir 2018/02/10
and the dialog opens on 2017/03/20 where I have probably imported nothing since nearly one year
