Description Nikolaos Kakouros 2018-02-09 22:30:43 UTC
I have set up a keyboard shortcut for the network manager applet in my system tray. When I press it, I would like to be able using the arrows, enter, tab or alt+<key> to navigate through the network list and activate the one I choose. Right now, I have to use the mouse which nullifies the purpose of the keyboard shortcut.

How I want to use plasma-nm:
1. shortcut to open plasma-nm applet (check)
  [how to do this?
  - Right-click Panel --> Edit Panel...
  - Hover Systemtray --> Configure...
  - Networks (Automatic Load) --> click "None" and enter desired shortcut
  ]
2. typing opens search and filters right away (no need to click magnifier)
3. use of up and down arrow keys to select network connection
4. connect by hitting enter

More ideas:
3a. using left and right arrow could change behavior for hitting enter (connect <-> configure)
5. hitting space could expand selected connection and show details
