Today Discover found update for a flatpak runtime (Gnome 3.24) and for packages from neon dev unstable repositories. I canceled the password dialog, packages from neon repos were not updated, but Discover updated the flatpak runtime.
I'm unsure this is an issue.
user cancels authorization and packages are installed anyway? Confuse at least.
I think this is definitely an issue. Hitting cancel here indicates that the user doesn't want to install the packages. Having them installed anyway is pretty unexpected.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > I think this is definitely an issue. Hitting cancel here indicates that the > user doesn't want to install the packages. Still valid. KDE neon Developer Edition KDE Plasma: 5.14.80 Qt: 5.11.2 KDE Frameworks: 5.52.0
Still relevant on Neon unstable. Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.69.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1
Any progress on this?
I fail to see what we can do about this. The password dialog is from and for packagekit, not flatpak.
Maybe it wasn't clear in the auth dialog that the request for authentication only applied to the Flatpak packages and not to everything--tricking you into believing that it did apply to everything such that canceling would stop all of the updates. Patrick, is it any better in Plasma 6 with the redesigned auth dialog?
