Created attachment 110471 [details] Settings menu screenshot with text scaling issues clearly visible Running a 1440p display with 150% display scaling results in some text to be scaled up like raster images, causing visible aliasing which is compounded by now-visible hinting. There are also some issues with the positioning of arrows on dropdown buttons, but that appears to be a common problem with display scaling. I have attached a screenshot that demonstrates this.
Looks like an issue elsewhere in the stack. Please update to a supported version of Plasma. Also make sure you are only using standard scaling methods, I don't think 1.5x is supported.

I'm using all the latest packages provided by the Kubuntu 17.10 repos, so this should be a "supported version", unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying here...? I'm using the display scaling settings in the kscreen component of systemsettings5, which allows scaling from 1x to 3x in 0.1x increments. I've only dabbled a bit in Qt myself, so I don't know what this "stack" you're reffering to is comprised of. Should I be reporting this to the Qt devs instead, or is it just unclear where the problem lies?
No, 5.10 is not supported despite Kubuntu distribute it. So even if we fixed it you wouldn't be able to benefit from it. You can add the kubuntu backports ppa, that has 5.12 I think, which is supported. You can also try if 2x also has the same issue.
