Description hadmut 2018-02-07 17:35:14 UTC
Hi,

I'd like to create video with selected parts from an original video and additional comments.

I'd therefore like to display a timecode relative to the original clip where the parts were taken from. The dynamic text effect would solve the problem except for the fact that it's #timecode# keyword shows the timecode of the new timeline. Would be great if it could show the timecode relative to the original clip.

There is now an option to show the source timecode so this shouldn't be hard to add this feature.

3+ years later... still waiting for this feature, I also need a way to add the file's original date AND time of record. I got a video back in 2018.01.08, starting at 08:34:36, there's no way to do this at the moment... timeframe just simply counts from 00:00:00 as the video starts.. filedate only reads the date, but not the H:M:S..

You need to contact the dev team behind the MLT Framework. They are the ones providing the Dynamic Text filter/effect and determine what can be displayed and how. See https://www.mltframework.org/plugins/FilterDynamictext/
