left mouse click and drag creates a selection. To create a large selection that spans through the scrollback region, I would like to scroll the window and then shift-left-click to extend the selection. This works in other terminal emulators and web browsers, but not in Konsole. Konsole version is 2.10.5
Are you sure it's konsole 2.10.5? because that seems like a really ancient version... I tested with a recent master git snapshot and I could extend the selection with shift+left click.

KDE4/Konsole4 is not supported any longer. I would suggest using a newer distro
