Screenshot of text editor and actual artwork colours

When I create a text and try to set a colour to it, the actual colour in the artwork is different than the one I chose in colour picker.

This issue occurred for me also in previous version, so I installed the 4.0 beta in hopes it will change, but nope.

Just checked other vector tool (rectangle) - the issue is the same: I'm still using the dark brown colour from selector, but the rectangle appears bright olive...

This is very likely caused by color management. What kind of file are you working on?

1. which colormodel, bitdepth, profile for the canvas
2. which one in the color management settings
3. do you have soft-proofing on?
4. or the lutdocker turned on?
Comment 3 kalia24 2018-01-28 20:23:53 UTC
1. RGB/Alpha (8 bit int/channel) sRGB-elle-V2-g10
2. sRGB-elle-V2-srgbtrc (issue remains when I change them to the same one, no matter *-g10 or *-srgbtrc)
3. no
4. no

Sorry, I didn't know I have to change status when answering.

A linear gamma profile (g10) is only really useful with channel depths > 8 bits. But apart from that, I cannot reproduce this issue here :-(
Comment 7 Halla Rempt 2019-05-13 08:51:41 UTC
I cannot reproduce this... Would it be possible to share the original artwork with us?

Original file with described error

Here's the file that I got the error with - I removed all the additional layers since they didn't change the behaviour and only made the file heavy.
Comment 9 Halla Rempt 2019-05-14 07:26:07 UTC
Hm... The text in the attached file is black -- but it wasn't black in your original screenshots?

File with error - colourful text

No, it wasn't - the screen was from one of many trials of putting it to correct colour.
Changed to colour, so you can see now.

Thank you, I can confirm the issue. The problem is with the linear gamma profile you're using. If I create an image with an sRGB profile, the colors are the same. And yes, it happens with every vector object, not just text.

Maybe the new color management stuff in Qt 5.14 will bring solace: https://wiki.qt.io/New_Features_in_Qt_5.14

When checking in Krita 5, the colors in the text editor and on the canvas are the same with this test file.
