When we paint the paint layer expands which is OK of course, but why applies the same when you erase?

Can you add the clear steps to reproduce this. For me when erasing the layer boundaries don't expand.

Let's say we have a document with 3 figures (character design) each of those figures have several layers. 
If the selected layer is active on figure 1, but I paint/erase by mistake for figure 3 (which obviously isn't in the same spot as figure 1) the layer of figure 1 expands not just when painting but also when erasing

Okay, that's because erasing actually changes pixels as well. This isn't going to be fixed, sorry.
