If an item is selected and a search term is entered another item will automatically be selected. This behaviour is bad because it unintendedly causes items to be marked as read if the automatic marking feature is enabled. When the list updates multiple times while searching a term this will even cause multiple practically random items to be marked. The same thing also can happen when a feed is updated. At this point the currently selected (read) item will be removed from the list and another item is selected. So if the reader is left alone this can cause numerous articles to be falsely marked over time. I think items should be prevented from being automatically selected when the selected item disappears from the list.
