The tablet log

Tablet: Wacom Intuos Draw

Krita isn't responding properly to pen activity. A KDE Developer suggested in a Help Forum that it may be due to a Windows update.

From what I see in the tablet log, the tablet driver is opened and Krita is getting tablet events. The pressure seems to be 0 for every event, which is strange.

* Do you have a multi-monitor setup?

* What happens if you reset Krita's configuration (https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Resetting_Krita_configuration) and the wacom driver configuration completely, reboot and then try again?

* I don't have a multi-monitor setup

* I tried resetting Krita's configuration, and then restarted "Wacom Profressional Service" in "Services.exe". (I'm not sure if that's what you mean by the wacom driver configuration) I then restarted the computer, but when I opened Krita again the problem still occured.

With resetting the wacom settings, I mean using the wacom preferences utility to reset the settings. You can find it in the wacom apps list in the start menu.

I tried that and it is back to normal now! Thank you so much for your help!!

You might need to do that regularly, so if you have custom settings, best backup them using that utility. On my mobile studio pro, I have to reset and reload the wacom settings at least once a month.

Thank you for the tip!

I've noticed that after doing this, sometimes when I try to make a very quick brush stroke, the beginning portion is rendered as a straight line instead of a curve. Is this due to the resetting of the Wacom driver configuration?
Comment 9 Halla Rempt 2018-02-01 09:31:34 UTC
That seems to depend on the version of the wacom driver, as far as we've seen.
