A picture of how the file was saved.

I drew a picture of a cuttlefish and wasn't finished so I saved it to come back to later. It said it saved and everything. However when I went to open it later, it had saved as an empty file. This has happened several times in the past. Is there anyway to get my drawing back and fix this?

No, the filesize is clearly 1.14 MB, it's displayed right there.

What happened is you somehow removed the default file extension ".kra" when saving the file and made it ".0", which your operating system cannot recognize.

The solution is simple: rename the file and put ".kra" back at the end of the filename.

As I was working on an image I decided to quit and save my work, but when I went back to finish it, it was still named what I had named it, but it had changed to a different drawing, that I finished before all this, except that this one was unfinished. The finished piece of the old art is still on a completely different file. I looked through all of my other files and nothing turned up. What should I do? Is there any chance that I can get my work back?

Select the file in explorer. Press F2 or right-click and select rename. Type cuttlefish_bak.kra. Open the file.
