Description kde 2018-01-20 20:28:18 UTC
Dolphin will crash when deleting files directly with Shift-Del and hitting Enter before the confirmation dialog was drawn.

This happens without compositing too.

It seems the dialogs are cached somehow, so you can only reproduce it on a "fresh" Dolphin window where no dialog window has appeared yet.

How to reproduce:
- open new Dolphin window
- create new test file anywhere
- hit Shift-Del-Enter fast
- Dolphin hangs

System: latest openSUSE Tumbleweed 20180119
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2018-02-14 16:02:25 UTC
Wasn't able to reproduce, because the dialog appears instantly.
Comment 3 kde 2018-02-14 16:12:11 UTC
Did you make sure to try it on a new Dolphin instance?

Seeing the same on Arch linux.

I cannot reproduce this crash with Dolphin 18.04.2... If you do still experience the crash, please attach a complete backtrace. Thanks!

I don't see it either on Dolphin 18.04.2 anymore so I assume it has been fixed in between this version and 17.12.

Okay, thanks for your response. I'll close this report now, please do reopen the bug report if you do still experience this crash with Dolphin 18.04 or newer. Thanks!
