I find the UX of the tag confirmation a little clumsy - the list that appears below the face is useful, but a single click doesn't update the tag. Everything appears to work as expected in the end, but I find myself clicking once on a tag, then clicking again or double clicking. I'd think a simple single click would be easier.
Thanks for the proper categorization! To clarify - - in reviewing detected but unrecognized faces, a box showing the detected face is displayed with a "confirm/remove" option below a tag entry box. - typically one would start typing the first few letters of the tag that should be applied to that detected face (presumably the name associated with the face). - a pop-up list appears of matching tags, which is quite useful and well sorted. - but, clicking on a correct suggestion from that list does not fill out the tag, it simply dismisses the list. There may be a more efficient work flow, but I'd think an efficient mechanism would be if the user clicks on an entry in the pop up list of suggested tags to accept the tag that is clicked on and to confirm in a single step.
You use DK 4.14 which is an very older version. Please test with last 5.9.0 pre-release AppImage linux bundle available here : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ ... to see if problem still reproducible. Gilles Caulier
Thanks - I was using the default distro version. Current behaves just as it should. Very nice, thanks.
