Hi, When running the KDevelop AppImage, LD_LIBRARY_PATH is totally ignored, and removed from the environment. It's useful to have it passed inside KDevelop to build and run applications. Thanks
There is a workaround that seems to work. Setting APPIMAGE_LIBRARY_PATH with the same value as LD_LIBRARY_PATH seems to do the job.
I am hitting the same issue. The environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH completely disappears when I Execute my application, however it works correctly when I Debug the application. Sample c++ code that reproduces this issue for me: #include <iostream> #include <cstdlib> int main() { if(const char* env_p = std::getenv("LD_LIBRARY_PATH")) std::cout << "LD_LIBRARY_PATH=" << env_p << '\n'; return 0; } I get no output when I Execute this code, and I get the correct value of the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable printed when I Debug this.
Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!
