- What I was doing when the application crashed: nothing particular. Scan was performed directly after booting system with usual set of programs opened with which scanning worked earlier (Chromium Browser, Evoltion Email, Clementine, Konsole).

digiKam 4.12.0 is unmainted since a while. 5.8.0 release is out. Please test with last universal Linux AppImage bundle instead older and obsolete Ubuntu package...

I tried to scan image through my HP printer and i saved the digitized data to JPEG, PNG, or TIFF, and problem is not reproducible
