Description Christian Quast 2018-01-12 04:53:58 UTC
I have several identities (for different accounts, also, some accounts have multiple IDs with, all with different E-Mail addresses) and for some mails I chose to change the identity with which I reply to an E-Mail. However, the E-Mail is send using the identity it was received for.

* create multiple identities using different E-Mail addresses
* open a composer window to reply to an E-Mail
* use the identity drop-down to chose an identity other than the one the E-Mail was received for
* send the E-Mail

Looking at the source of the E-Mail yields the a 'from' that matches the 'to' from the received mail. Instead, I would expect the 'from' to match the E-Mail configured in the chosen identity.

This has been working until the latest update to 5.7.0

Thanks for considering
  Christian.

Additionally, the templates are not applied.

I have two templates for the same email address. One in English, one in German. When I start to reply, first the German answer is shown. Changing the identity does not replace German text to English. Though, the signature is being changed.
Btw, for a new message there is the same behaviour.

I have version 5.16.0 (20.12.0)

And for me it is VERY critical. It prevents me using kmail.
