Here you can see the scrollbar is hard to see.

Please can there be an option to change the color of the vertical and horizontal scrollbar? Its almost the same shade as the scroll track and when i need to nudge the canvas up or down its very hard to hunt for it and click and drag.

I have tried to look at that before and it is a bit tricky. The themes we make for Krita don't do a good job at targeting the scrollbars on Windows, so it is hard to force that to look a certain way. Other operating systems seem to show those scrollbars more clearly, so I think this issue will only appear on Windows.

I am going to update this to a wishlist item. Bugs are usually reserved for tickets that break functionality. It would be nice to have better scroll bar colors on windows though.

I'm not sure whether we've got much control here.

Part of the equation is the widget style plugin -- which is something Qt provides. We support three of those plugins: breeze (not available on Windows), Fusion and Plastique. Fusion is the current Qt default.

Plastique is a bit more old-fasioned, and has a bit clearer scrollbars. It can be used by starting krita from the command line like this:

c:\path\to\krita\krita.exe --style=plastique

The other part is the color theme. We ship several already, and maybe another theme might work better for Sonia. Color themes don't have separate entries for scrollbars, though. A color theme looks like this:

[ColorEffects:Disabled]
Color=120,120,120
ColorAmount=0.5
ColorEffect=0
ContrastAmount=0.5
ContrastEffect=2
IntensityAmount=0.175
IntensityEffect=2

And people can make their own and save them as a somename.colors file in the right location.

So sorry for the extra trouble! Ive just noticed this from the older versions and even when i change to the lighter themes, it still doesnt get better... i love the dark themes, but its so hard to see the scrollbars... wish there was a shortcut for scrolling in the mean time!

Where do you scroll? Because if you mean the canvas, there are multiple shortcuts to move the canvas around, from those that I remember: space + right-click or just middle-click. And there is Pan Tool, too.

Anyway, right now in Krita 5.0.0-prealpha one can select both the Theme and the Style in Menu -> Settings.

Btw a good theme for that is "Krita neutral", the sliders are much more visible than in other themes. Does it fix your issue?
