i made an error. it is not a screen lock problem. the problem is: MMS => no notification at pc even if there is text please send a mms notification with the link or the photo thanks
It used to be the case that it was not possible to reply to MMS from the desktop. However, for a while now we have been able to use Android's reply-able notifications. I don't remember exactly which release version this corresponds to... Are you not able to use this functionality? If you get an MMS, does the Android notification have a "Reply" button? What Messaging app are you using on your phone?
This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED to reflect the resolution change.
Hello Samsung S7 Android 8.0 kdeconnect kde 1.3.1 kdeconnect android 1.8.4 Google "Messages" 3.5.053 same problem : MMS notification at smartphone , no notification at desktop (In reply to Simon from comment #3) > Are you not able to use this functionality? i am not able > > If you get an MMS, does the Android notification have a "Reply" button? i don't get any MMS at desktop > > What Messaging app are you using on your phone? As far as I can tell, release v1.3.1 includes a notification plugin which should support reply-able notifications. Do you have the notifications plugin enabled? (In reply to Philippe ROUBACH from comment #5) > > > > If you get an MMS, does the Android notification have a "Reply" button? > i don't get any MMS at desktop > Do you get a notification on your phone? In that notification, is there a "Reply" button?
(In reply to Simon from comment #6) > As far as I can tell, release v1.3.1 includes a notification plugin which > should support reply-able notifications. Do you have the notifications > plugin enabled? > yes > Do you get a notification on your phone? yes > In that notification, is there a "Reply" button? no (not sure) not sure because i use to tap on notification then this opens "messages" then i can reply. so if this is a new feature i did not see it. i receive all SMS notifications at desktop with a reply button.
(In reply to Philippe ROUBACH from comment #7) > > > In that notification, is there a "Reply" button? > no (not sure) > The Notifications plugin relies on the "reply" button. Please check for it the next time you receive an MMS by swiping down on the notification. I also use the Messages app with Android 8 so I believe it should be there. > > i receive all SMS notifications at desktop with a reply button. The Telephony plugin handles SMS specially, but the Notifications plugin provides support for replying to any message including MMS (or WhatsApp, or any other notification which provides an option to reply). In other words, the fact that SMS works does not provide any information about MMS since they use different mechanisms. We are working to move to only one mechanism, specifically to using the Notifications plugin for everything, to eliminate this confusion. The Notifications plugin does not pop up a reply box like the Telephony plugin did. Instead, you should see a Reply button in the desktop notification and a little reply arrow in the list of notifications in the systray. Also, please make sure you have not blacklisted the Messages app in the Notifications plugin (I just realized I had mine blacklisted to prevent duplicate SMS notifications!)
>> Also, please make sure you have not blacklisted the Messages app in the >> Notifications plugin (I just realized I had mine blacklisted to prevent >> duplicate SMS notifications!) i blacklisted "messages" to avoid duplicate SMS notification as recommended in the past. is there no more duplicate SMS problem ?

The duplicate SMS notifications will still be there until we release the new changes and packagers ship them. We don't currently have a release scheduled but I expect we will do one sometime soon. Since this has been changed in the master branch, I am marking this bug as resolved.
yes there is a button"reply" for SMS
