Other system monitors (like http://processhacker.sourceforge.net) have an option to minimize the main window to tray.

It would be nice if KSysGuard could also do this for convenience. Maybe this can be combined with the already existing SystemLoad applet.

Any particular reason why we need this? The global keyboard shortcut to call it up is pretty darn convenient, I'd say.

Minimize to tray area opens a way to show condensed and unobstrusive information gathered by libksysguard in the system tray. Sadly, I found no screenshot of how it looks like in Process Hacker. Essentially, there it is possible to configure one or more tray icons, e.g. to show CPU, disk or network utilization including a small history graph.

As for the global shortcut, just a note, that on my system it takes about one second until System Activity appears. If it was minimized, I assume it could appear instantly.

ksysguard is no longer maintained, in Plasma 6 there is the Plasma system monitor for this task.

If your wish is still valid for the Plasma 6 replacement, please re-open and we can move this bug to the new product, thanks!
