Since the last update I noticed kmail lost the ability to edit message as new. Here's how to reproduce: open a message from the sent folder by double clicking in the new window go the menus and the option is nowhere to be found In previous versions there was an edit option which had the shortkey T IINM.

Hello, it's been 4 years without any acknowledgement of this report. AFAIK the "edit" option is still missing from the menus but I can't verify myself as I do not have a kmail set up at the moment.
I can confirm this issue still exists. 'Edit as new' is possible when right-clicking on a message in the Inbox (or most other folder) but *not* in the Sent folder. In the Sent folder, only 'send again' (maybe the wording is different, I don't have an English version running) is possible.
(In reply to me from comment #4) > In the Sent folder, only 'send again' (maybe the wording is > different, I don't have an English version running) is possible. I just noticed that clicking that 'send again' option just launches the message editor. So it's basically the same as 'edit message as new' but uses another name for sent messages. So I'll close this bug... (In my opinion, having to different names for basically the same action is from a user point of view not ideal. But maybe there are valid reasons to do so. If this should be changed, someone should open a dedicated bug)
