Using vidstab for a clip to stabilize the image works great, but there is a negative side effect: I cannot remove the clip's audio. Split audio seems to work, but if I remove the split audio, it still gets exported (but is not present if I play the timeline). Applying the mute effect doesn't work either: the audio gets exported as well, but is not present if I play the timeline. Workaround: render the render zone related to the clip, import the new clip to the project, replace the old clip (.mlt version of the original clip, with vidstab applied) and remove it's audio.
There problem is even more complicated: If I compare the original clip, the vidstab clip and the muted vidstab clip, original and muted vidstab clip have the same audio while the vidstab clip audio is louder.
VideoStab with right click on the clip (Videostab2) is deprecated. Use VidStab under the effects. Do you have the same problem?
