Hi there,

I have found that clicking a link in non-browser applications such as Minecraft can start to spawn infinite Wine-browser applications. It doesn't actually start a huge amount of processes (from what I can see in top anyway), but the "applications" seem to reproduce and cause more dummy applications. plasma-desktop spikes to 200% CPU on a quad core and my temperatures reach unsafe levels.

There is another bug, 381088, which mentions a similar issue but from a KDE application.

Seems like there's a common underlying wine bug. I'll see if I find the time to install the Minecraft demo and reproduce it somehow.

Can you please provide the output of the following commands:

xdg-mime query default text/html
xdg-settings get default-web-browser
xdg-settings get default-url-scheme-handler http
xdg-mime query default x-scheme-handler/http
