We already have resize image or trim image to selection. it would be great if we had resize canvas to selection or an option in crop tool to just resize canvas without deleting the pixels.

This would allow to make compositions and resize canvas interactively without deleting the pixel data in layers and groups. Trimming image and cropping is destructive and this would add some convenience in resize canvas which is now a bit non-interactive.
