Description hardy.public 2017-12-23 11:05:36 UTC
If an image with multiple face tags is cropped and saved as a new image, all face regions are retained in the metadata giving meaningless face tags in the new image.

Expected Behaviour
==================

Minimum:
All regions should be deleted from the metadata in the new image.

Ideal:
If technically possible, whole face regions within the boundaries of the new cropped image should be rescaled and retained. All other regions should be deleted from the metadata.

@Hardy,

The digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release for Windows is available for testing :

Problem still reproducible on your computer ?

Thanks in advance

Yes and no. The cropped image now doesn't contain any face regions which is good as an interim solution. Ideally though, I think a cropped image should have its face regions recalculated whre possible.
