The error box returned by calligra words

I created this file using calligra words, and saved it to .docx format, but when I went to open it, cw says "Could not open <filename>, Reason: File not found."

This is the on;y clue I have to what the problem is/might be.

as far as I know we are not even able to save to .docx format

Are you sure you saved it with Calligra, and if so, maybe you just put a wrong extension on the file. Try renaming the file to .odt and see if it opens then

I have this same bug. Renaming file from .docx to .doc helps. It is odd, because I've opened this document with Calligra and it failed to read .docx only after I was saved it with Calligra.

qp8 : since Calligra can't save .docx that is your error - if you have saved something and named it .docx it will not actually be a .docx file

In fact we can't even save .doc files - back in the days we saved it as an .rdf but named it .doc because ms word is abled to handle that too - i am not sure we can still do that - but it's not something i would recommend. Save to .odt is the only way
