Description dlrapp@islandexpertise.com 2017-12-19 05:09:30 UTC
I am running Mageia 6 (64 bit). I use thunderbird with enigmail for email. Gnupg is installed by default and functions normally as does enigmail in thunderbird. However, when booting a message window comes up that states that "an error occurred when scanning keyring". I am unable to import keys or list keys or anything else. It simply displays an empty window and when I attempt any action with it I get an error message suggesting I press Details for more information, however, the Details button displays no information.

Can you please shut down all KGpg instances (File -> Quit, not only close the window), and then run KGpg from a terminal. Does this show any information?

Greetings,

After shutting down all instances of kgpg and entering "kgpg" in a
terminal I receive this response:

Well, where is your gpg config then? If you run

  gpg --version

it should tell you where it's home directory is. Then go into the KGpg options dialog and adapt the path there accordingly.
