Description beojan 2017-12-15 15:20:26 UTC
Upon unlocking the screen, compositing gets turned off, and the config dialog is open. If compositing is turned on again, KWin glitches until it is restarted (kwin_x11 --replace).
Comment 1 Martin Flöser 2017-12-16 07:30:52 UTC
Which config dialog is open?

The Compositor config dialog (Display and Monitor -> Compositor in System Settings).
Comment 3 Martin Flöser 2017-12-19 15:39:06 UTC
But you opened that dialog, right? It did not open automatically?

It opened automatically.

Sorry, but that's impossible. We don't have any code to open that dialog.

Well that's what happens.

It appears this may be linked to using an additional external display on a laptop, since I don't experience the issue when not using such a display.

This issue report is quite old. Can you please confirm, that it still persists with KDE 5.23?
