Description phillipprado 2017-12-06 01:27:59 UTC
For some reason, whenever I get a text notification via KDE Connect on my desktop and I go to reply it opens my password manager, Enpass. There is no reason for this, no settings to fix it, so I am filing it as a bug.

Sounds like a bug in Enpass, no?
Comment 2 Nicolas Fella 2018-03-02 15:16:02 UTC
Also occurs with e.g. Telegram. I suspect a bug in Plasma
Comment 3 Aleix Pol 2018-03-02 15:21:30 UTC
Nicolas, can you please explain what is happening?

A video could help.

It seems like clicking the button on the notification triggers a click on the first system tray element, in my case Telegram, which brings up the window. Does not trigger plasma's own applets

I've seen this issue with Telegram, but I'm pretty sure it's a bug in Telegram that doesn't check if the answered notification comes from telegram.

I've seen Telegram popping when opening Konversation as well.
Comment 6 Nicolas Fella 2018-03-02 15:48:20 UTC
If I tell Telegram not to show the tray icon the issue does not appear.
Also, why would Telegram even see the notification from KDE Connect

@Phillip Does enpass have a icon in the tray?
Comment 7 Aleix Pol 2018-03-02 15:55:01 UTC
It's not about system tray, it's about notifications. i.e. listening to org.freedesktop.Notifications (or something along the lines).

Everything is public in dbus!

I mean, I do have the system tray icon, and the only time this happens is when the system tray icon is enabled. I have not experienced it in Telegram because I use Franz, and I do not use the system tray icon for Franz
