As of last night, trying to open or save a file in Firefox-plasma (the build of Firefox that uses KDialog) can crash the whole browser. I also had trouble with KDialog freezing and locking up plasma overall outside of Firefox. I'm guessing a recent KDE update did this. I'm on KDE Neon user ed. (so, KDialog 2.0) I had to kill KDialog to get my system working again, and I've reproduced the crash a few times. I did get it to function when I used the keyboard only to select something and hit enter etc. instead of using the mouse cursor.
Can you reproduce if you run kdialog manually? Please ask Firefox-plasma developers how they call the kdialog command.

I can run kdialog manually with no trouble and *also* have no issues with other programs. I'll ping the Firefox-plasma devs with a link to this issue.
okay, this seems to be the issue, and it may be Firefox itself or the plasmazilla stuff. It's *certainly* Firefox-specific. https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1074272
Thanks for the update; closing.
