When you open the configure window the width is inferior to what it's needed. To show some buttons and other tools you have to make it larger or to use the bottom slider.
Actually, the only tab which has the wrong dimension is the "Project defaults" If it's possible could be good that also the vertical size matches all the icons when it's open
Which configure window do you mean? Under settings are 4 "configure" window.
At least "Configure kdenlive..." window is affected in "Project defaults" section. I have kdenlive 18.12 on Arch Linux.
