Large Icons task switcher in the corner, not the center of the screen

Wayland session, Plasma 5.11.3, Kubuntu 17.10.

The Large Icons task switcher always appears in the top-left corner. See attached screenshot.

I've got the same problem on plasma 5.11.5.

Probably unrelated, but the selection of non-default (Breeze) "visualizations" (such as Large Icons) doesn't always work--it often gets stuck on the first or second (don't remember) window in the list.
